HNK Hajduk Split has secured a major financial boost by qualifying for the UEFA Conference League group stage. According to data from Index.hr, the Croatian club has already guaranteed earnings of at least €3.87 million from UEFA prize money.
The club began its European journey this season in the first qualifying round of the Europa League against Slovak side Žilina. They then eliminated Cypriot team Pafos before moving into the Conference League qualifiers, where they beat Lithuania's Žalgiris and Poland's Raków Częstochowa. The victory over Raków in Poland sealed their place in the group stage.
How much money does Hajduk get from UEFA?
For each of the four qualifying rounds played, Hajduk secured €175,000, totaling €700,000. Entry into the Conference League group stage itself is worth an additional €3.17 million for every club. The sum of these fixed amounts is €3.87 million.
In the group stage, the club can earn even more. Each victory in the groups brings €400,000, while a draw is rewarded with €133,000. There are also additional bonuses for the final group standings and for any potential progression to the knockout phase. The final total revenue will depend on the results Hajduk achieves in the upcoming matches.
Why is this qualification so important?
This is the first time since the 2010/11 season that Hajduk will play in the group stage of a European competition. This success brings not only prestige but also stability in financial planning. The UEFA money will ease the club's operations and provide room for further squad strengthening.
The team is currently led by manager Karim Mokeddem, with key players including captain Marko Livaja and goalkeeper Danijel Subašić. The full schedule of European matches can be followed on our fixtures page.
What is the financial impact for the club?
The income of €3.87 million represents a significant portion of the budget. These funds can be used to improve infrastructure, increase the wage fund, or for transfer investments. Hajduk will now have a more secure basis for planning the winter transfer window.
The club currently holds a high position in the Croatian First League, which you can check on the standings page. Additionally, the squad list and individual player statistics are available on the squad and stats pages.
The first match in the Conference League group stage will be played next week, with Hajduk learning their opponents at the draw scheduled for Friday. The schedule of domestic league matches has been adjusted to accommodate European commitments.
