HNK Hajduk Split lost in the first round of HNL against Varaždin with a score of 2:1. The Split club scored a goal in the 56th minute when Rokas Pukštas shot the ball above Josip Silić. However, Varaždin continued to play better and scored two goals in the 53rd and 62nd minutes. Hajduk continued to play better in the second half, but failed to equalize. Livaja shot the ball from the white spot in the 90th minute, but Josip Silić saved the goal. This is the first loss for Hajduk in HNL this season. Hajduk currently occupies 2nd place in HNL with 61 goals scored and 36 goals conceded. Hajduk is 18 points behind the leader Dinamo Zagreb. In the first round of HNL, Hajduk lost against Varaždin, and Livaja failed to equalize in the 90th minute. Hajduk will continue to play in HNL and hope for a better result in the upcoming matches.
