HNK Hajduk Split is seeking defensive reinforcements and has sent an official offer for Neraysho Kasanwirya of Feyenoord. Kasanwirjo is a 24-year-old defender who is currently in the middle of a contract with Feyenoord until 2027. The Split club has informed Feyenoord of its official offer for Kasanwirja, who was born in Amsterdam on February 18, 2002. Kasanwirjo has passed through the renowned Ajax youth academy and has played 38 league matches for Jong Ajax. In 2021, he moved to Groningen, where he established himself in the Eredivisie and played 47 league matches over a period of a year and a half. Feyenoord signed him in January 2023 for around two million euros and tied him to a contract until 2027. In Rotterdam, he failed to establish himself in a significant role and played only nine official matches for Feyenoord's first team. He has played on loan in Rapid Vienna, Rangers, Molde, and Fortuna Sittard. Feyenoord loaned him to Fortuna last winter to regain continuity in the Eredivisie, and this summer the club decided to seek a permanent solution for his status. Kasanwirjo can play almost all positions in defense and one of his main characteristics is his versatility. He is 185 centimeters tall and his right leg is stronger. Transfermarkt currently estimates him at 1.5 million euros. His episode in Rangers was interrupted by a serious knee injury sustained in November 2024 during a match for the Netherlands U-21 team. He had to undergo surgery and a longer rehabilitation period, but returned to the pitch before the end of the season. For Hajduk, his eventual arrival would primarily mean additional depth in the defense.
