Torcida Boycotts, Varaždin Reduces Ticket Prices: Hajduk to Receive Support in Derby Match

Following Torcida's strong criticism and boycott call for the first match of SuperSport HNL between Hajduk Split and NK Varaždin, Varaždin has reduced ticket prices from 18 to 10 euros. Despite this, Torcida decided against the boycott.

NK Varaždin announced that tickets will now cost 10 eur (+1.50 eur for service fees) instead of the initial 18 eur, prompting Torcida to withdraw their call for a boycott.

"In accordance with NK Varaždin's decision to reduce ticket prices to 10€ (including a 1.50€ service fee), the group has after considering all facts and arguments concluded that the main goal of the boycott, which was to lower the exceptionally high ticket price, has been achieved. Therefore, the decision to boycott has been suspended. We call on everyone to purchase tickets and support our club from the stands," stated Torcida.

Harsh Criticism

Previously, Torcida harshly criticized Varaždin with a statement:

"KNH Torcida Split officially announces a boycott of purchasing tickets for all stands in the upcoming match against the artificial political clique known as NK Varaždin.

Gentlemen in the seats, salon parasites and police-managerial gang at the top of NK Varaždin, on what grounds do you set such exorbitant ticket prices? The sanitation holes on your 'Jug' stand are a disgrace and a hygiene disaster that does not meet the conditions for hosting a match, and it is unbearable for people. You surround the navijačs with barbed wire and fences under the pretense of non-existent irregularities you yourself create, by maltreating people and children at the entrances.

You have neither navijačs, nor an identity, nor a history, yet when in mid-season you come to Hajduk as guests, you attempt to use exorbitant ticket prices, proclamations of various bans, and brutal repression to stop our dominant navijač group. You are the winners of a club created on the grave of the genuine Varteks, which was extinguished in murky political games, known throughout Croatia.

Due to all the above, we call on all Hajduk supporters to fully boycott purchasing tickets. We will gather before the stadium and chant, where we will be louder than the domestic theater audience anyway."
