HNK Hajduk Split, under the leadership of sporting director Robert Graf, is initiating organizational changes focusing on scouting, the academy, and the loan system. These changes aim to improve the connection between scouting, analytics, and the development of young players. Graf announced the merging of the data department and classic scouting, which will allow scouts and analysts to use the same criteria when assessing players. Hajduk is preparing for the 2026/2027 season with a clearer emphasis on internal reorganization of the sporting sector.
By introducing an Individual Development Department in the academy, Hajduk aims to ensure that the most talented players develop according to precisely defined profiles. Graf emphasized that the focus will be on individual work with players and constant monitoring of those developing outside the first team. These changes are crucial for a club with limited financial capabilities that must make quick and accurate sporting decisions.
Hajduk is now looking for players that fit specific technical, tactical, physical, and financial frameworks. Graf pointed out that scouting is no longer just looking for players who generally fit the level of competition but for those who fit predefined criteria. This approach allows the club to assess potential reinforcements through a broader picture, considering quality, age, development potential, tactical compatibility, and financial feasibility.
The changes in scouting also stem from Graf's earlier statements about the need for smarter scouting. Hajduk will operate differently than before, all with the goal of finding valuable players in the market before competitors. These innovations represent an important step towards strengthening HNK Hajduk Split as a club that relies on the development of young talents and smart resource management.
