Hajduk in tough situation, but win over Žalgiris brings hope

Gonzalo Garcia, coach of Hajduk, expressed in an interview after the win over Žalgiris that the club is in a tough situation. However, the win brings hope for the future.

"When you lose a few games in Hajduk, there is always pressure. Hajduk has not won away from home in Europe for six to seven years. Now we have succeeded, but it was not easy," said Garcia.

Win over Žalgiris

Hajduk won 5-2 over Žalgiris in the first leg of the third qualifying round for the Conference League. The goals were scored by Michele Šego (5', 44'), Adrien Pajaziti (56'), Dalisson (73') and Rokas Pukštas (75'). For the home team, Nikola Petković (35') and former Hajduk player Marko Capan (86') scored.

Future exists

Garcia expressed hope in the future of the club. "Our future is tough. The club is in a tough situation. We work hard, I have been working here for 13-14 months. We must move forward, for two days we have a new match," he said.
