HNK Hajduk Split can permanently sign three players brought in on loan this summer for a total of 5.1 million euros. The club has pre-agreed purchase options for Marin Šotiček, Dalisson and Carlos Martín, with the amounts becoming available at the end of the season.
Sporting director Robert Graf confirmed a shift in the club's business approach during the summer transfer window. "Hajduk significantly changed its way of operating this summer," said Graf. The goal was to strengthen the squad with lower transfer fees, resulting in a reduction of the first team's annual expenditure by about 3.2 million euros to approximately 12.1 million.
The most expensive purchase option is for Spanish forward Carlos Martín, whom Hajduk can keep for 2.5 million euros. Croatian winger Marin Šotiček, who arrived from Basel, has a price tag of 1.8 million euros. Brazilian Dalisson can become a member of the Split club for 800,000 euros.
Šotiček, the 21-year-old attacker, has already shown his worth in his first ten appearances for Hajduk, scoring two goals and providing five assists. His future at the club will depend on continuing his good form for the remainder of the season. The same criterion applies to Dalisson.
Alongside these three loans, Hajduk also brought in Khalil Fayad for 250,000 euros and Alec Van Hoorenbeeck for around 200,000 euros. Most other reinforcements arrived without transfer fees or on loan, enabling significant savings. This approach has allowed the club to remain competitive in the title race.
The team currently sits 4th in the HNL with 10 points from five games, just two points behind leaders Osijek. The last result was a convincing 4-0 victory against that same rival on August 23rd. Before facing Istra 1961 in the 7th round on October 24th, the players have time to further gel. The remainder of the season will show if Šotiček and Dalisson are of sufficient quality to become Hajduk's next major investments.
