HNK Hajduk Split completed the two biggest sales in the Croatian top flight's summer transfer window. An analysis of the transfer activity after the window closed on September 7 shows these figures.
The club from Poljud secured approximately 8.1 million euros in guaranteed fees from the departures of two of its young internationals. American midfielder Rokas Pukštas moved to English side Middlesbrough for around five million euros. Just a day after Pukštas, Hajduk made another major sale, as Niko Sigur said. The Canadian defender signed for French club Toulouse for a fixed fee of 3.1 million euros, with potential appearance-related bonuses adding up to 700,000 euros.
Rokas Pukštas leaves after making 128 official appearances in the white shirt. He also left his mark on a key European night, scoring in the second leg of the Conference League playoff against Raków. That 3-2 extra-time victory secured Hajduk's first European qualification in 16 years. Niko Sigur played 121 times for Hajduk and has been involved with the Canadian national team in recent years. Importantly, the Split-based club retained a sell-on percentage for Sigur's future transfer, showing further financial foresight.
Dinamo earned around six million euros from the sales of Monsef Bakrar to Al Ahly and Gabriel Vidović to Paderborn. Bakrar left for a fixed three million, while Vidović moved for a similar sum after just one season at Maksimir. Osijek generated income of approximately 2.1 million euros from the sale of top scorer Nail Omerović to Portuguese side Estoril and Arnel Jakupović to Vitória Guimarães. Omerović had scored five goals in the first five league matches of the new season, while Jakupović was transferred in the final year of his contract.
Smaller fees were recorded for other players. Smail Prevljak moved from Istra 1961 to Dinamo for 800,000 euros, and Aleks Stojaković joined from Lokomotiva for 750,000 euros with possible bonuses. Martin Zlomislić left Rijeka for Qarabag for around 500,000 euros after five seasons and a domestic double. Dinamo also invested in the future, signing 18-year-old Gabrijel Šivalec from Slaven Belupo for a similar amount.
According to gathered data, the summer 2025 transfer window brought Croatian top-division clubs slightly less than 20 million euros in player sale income. The largest share of that sum comes precisely from the four aforementioned transfers: Pukštas, Sigur, Bakrar, and Vidović. For comparison, Transfermarkt records 82.39 million euros in income for Croatian top-flight clubs across the entire 2025/26 season, a significant jump from the 40.2 million noted in the 2024/25 season.
These transfers occurred as Hajduk made an excellent start to the new campaign. As of September 10, 2026, the club leads the HNL table with 13 points from six matches played. Recording four wins, one draw, and one loss, the team has an impressive goal difference of +10 (15 scored, 5 conceded). Their recent form reads WWWWD. Their next challenge is already on September 12 at Poljud against NK Slaven Belupo, who currently sit in 8th place. This good form on the pitch, combined with sound financial moves off it, sets a solid foundation for the season ahead.
