HNK Hajduk Split will play their SuperSport Croatian Cup quarter-final match against Slavonija Požega on a new date. The tie has been moved from the originally scheduled October 28 to Wednesday, December 2, with a 13:30 kick-off.

The clubs agreed to the change due to the complex scheduling of matches in this stage of the competition. Of the eight proposed dates for the quarter-final fixtures, only two were set for the original slot. This shift means the quarter-final matches will be played across three different months, October, November, and December.

For Hajduk, currently sitting second in the HNL with 16 points from eight games, this change allows for greater focus on immediate league commitments. The next challenge is a major derby against league leaders Dinamo Zagreb at home on October 10, with the team coming off a 3-0 defeat to Rijeka.

Their Cup opponent, Slavonija Požega, reached the last 16 after victories over Moslavina (3-0) and Oriolik (4-0). The match will be played in Požega as planned. Such date changes highlight the organisational challenges facing the Croatian Cup in its later stages.

Hajduk will now have more time for recovery and preparation between key matches in the autumn part of the season. The current league standings and player statistics are available in the stats section.
