HNK Hajduk Split is today one of the most popular Croatian football clubs, with a rich history and a large number of fans. The club was founded 108 years ago, on February 13, 1911, in the Prague pub Flek. Fabijan Kaliterna, Lucijan Stella, Ivan Šakić and Vjekoslav Ivanišević, four Split students, decided to found a football club in Split. Hajduk has since become synonymous with Split football and one of the most successful Croatian clubs. In its history, Hajduk has won 18 championships in five countries, 15 national cups and 5 super cups. The greatest European successes are three quarterfinals of the Champions League and one semifinal of the UEFA Cup and the Cup Winners' Cup. Torcida, the fan group of Hajduk, was founded on October 28, 1950, in Zagreb and is today one of the oldest and most famous fan groups in Europe. Hajduk has fans all over Croatia, and even in the world. There are fan clubs in Australia, America, all over Europe. And also, Hajduk is one of the few clubs that have never been relegated from the first league. The last title Hajduk won was back in 2005, when Niko Kranjčar, Nenad Pralija, Vladimir Bear played for the Whites. But Hajduk is still one of the most popular Croatian football clubs, with a large number of fans and a rich history.
