HNK Hajduk Split is linked with two Spanish wingers as the transfer window enters its final phase. According to reports from 24sata Sport, the Split-based club is monitoring the situations of Carlos Martin from Atletico and Danija Díaza from Real Sociedad.

The club currently sits 4th in the HNL with 10 points from five matches. Their next challenge is an away fixture against Rudes on September 6th, and you can check the full schedule on our fixtures page.

Who is Carlos Martin?

Carlos Martin is a 24-year-old forward who scored 15 goals for Mirandes last season. His contract with Atletico runs until the summer of 2029, and his market value is estimated at 1.5 million euros. Hajduk has been tracking him since the start of the window, but faces competition. Ruben Uria told 24sata: "Hajduk, however, is not the only club monitoring Martin's situation." Spanish sides Levante, Valladolid, Tenerife, Castellon, and Almeria, along with some English clubs, are also interested.

What about Danija Díaza?

The second target is 20-year-old winger Danija Díaza from Real Sociedad. His contract also expires in the summer of 2029, with a value around 2 million euros. Díaza has made 12 appearances for the Spain U19 national team, scoring twice. Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo reported Hajduk's interest, stating: "In San Sebastián they believe in his potential and are aware they have a young player who continues to progress." However, sources suggest Real Sociedad is unlikely to sell him before the registration deadline.

How does this fit the current campaign?

Hajduk's search for wing reinforcements comes as the team is in decent form. They have scored 11 goals and conceded just 5 in five HNL matches, boasting a +6 goal difference. They are only two points behind leaders Osijek in the title race, which you can follow on our standings page. Adding quality on the flanks could be vital for maintaining pressure at the top. The squad has several injury concerns, with the latest list available on the injuries page.

What are the transfer deadlines?

The transfer window for HNL clubs lasts until the end of August. For Spanish clubs like Atletico, the player registration deadline is the end of the day. This creates time pressure on all sides if a deal is to be completed. Hajduk will need to act swiftly to overcome competition and persuade the selling clubs to part with their assets.

Hajduk's match against Rudes is scheduled for Friday, September 6, 2026.
