HNK Hajduk Split host Dinamo Zagreb on Saturday in the 9th round of the SuperSport HNL at Poljud, in a top-of-the-table derby where both teams are level on 16 points. The match kicks off at 3 PM and offers the whites a chance to return to winning ways after a loss to Rijeka before the international break.
Dinamo have a game in hand, while Hajduk currently sit second in the league. Ahead of this clash, Hajduk played a friendly against the Croatia national team in Zmijavci during the break, winning 3-0. Dinamo, on the other hand, played a Croatian Cup round of 16 match at Gradski vrt in Osijek on Sunday, beating Vukovar 1991 4-0.
In their last league matches before the break, Hajduk lost at Rujevica, while Dinamo defeated Lokomotiva at home. Dinamo captain Josip Mišić is suspended and will miss Saturday's derby. "Captain of Dinamo Josip Mišić who received a direct red card in the match against Lokomotiva," Mišić said.
Hajduk currently have 16 points from eight games, with a record of five wins, one draw and two losses. The last meeting between these two sides, in March this year, ended in a 3-1 defeat for Hajduk. The match against Dinamo will be played on October 10th.
